Marina Shifrin may not be unemployed very long. The young woman who gained instant Internet fame for telling her bosses that she was quitting in a video that went viral was offered a new job Wednesday by Queen Latifah while being interviewed on the entertainer’s show.

Shifrin was working for a Taiwanese animation company that she says took her for granted. So she posted a video on YouTube in which she performs an interpretive dance to Kanye West’s “Gone.”

“For almost two years I’ve sacrificed my relationships, time and energy for this job,” reads the subtitles on the video that captured 11 million hits since its release. Despite her efforts, Shifrin said her bosses only cared about the number of clicks her videos captured.

Her sudden rise to stardom led to an appearance on "The Queen Latifah Show," where Shifrin told Latifah that she had no regrets.

“Sometimes I think that you need to forcefully close one door in order for another one to open a little easier," the former video producer for Next Media Animation said on the show.

Latifah then shocked her guest by offering her a job. “With your experience, maybe I can create a position,” the entertainer said. “What if I created something called ‘digital content producer?’”

Shfirin was stunned. Latifah reassured her guest she was serious. But viewers won’t learn until Friday what Shifrin’s answer is.

A show representative told Yahoo Shine that Shifrin was “meeting with the show producers and staff to discuss the opportunity further” and had not made a decision.

Latifah took to Twitter to explain her reasons for offering Shifrin the post:

Tweeted Shifrin:

Shifrin also posted her views about her odyssey and the plight of journalism in a Huffington Post commentary entitled “Journalism is Dead (to Me).”
