"Total Divas" is a reality show that focuses on female wrestlers in the WWE.
Menounos, who has participated in several Diva tag team matches before, was drawn into Summerslam when she sent a supportive tweet to Natalya. Brie and twin sister Nikki, who make up the tag team Bella Twins, responded "in a rude way," sparking the upcoming tag team battle, according to E!
The Bella Twins' tweet read: "@NatbyNature @MariaMenounos Sweet, all we need is Maria Menounos dropping by WWE… Again. Hhm how about you do your job and let us do ours."
From there, there was a Twitter fight. Now the two teams will go head to head.
"We honestly didn't see this coming," E! News' Jeffrey Winsenbaugh wrote. "We're used to seeing a very composed and very sexy Maria hosting EXTRA or shaking her groove thing as a contestant on 'Dancing with the Stars.'"
Nikki Bella, Brie's sister, is injured and may not be available for the match, which is why Brie is looking for another teammate.
Menounos has served as an "Extra" host since 2011. She covers entertainment events, celebrity interviews, red-carpets, and movie premieres with Mario Lopez. She signed a multi-year deal with Telepictures Productions in 2011 to develop new projects in which she would serve as host and executive producer.
Menounos has also done reporting for "Entertainment Today," the "Today" show, and "Nightly News," according to Extra. In 2009 and 2010, She appeared on "Maxim's Hot 100 List," and has been included in People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People.
