Actor Kyle Massey shot down Twitter rumors that he was dying of cancer and showed his aggravation Monday at such potentially hurtful rumors, calling it an "inconsiderate" hoax.
The cancer rumor first appeared on Saturday, July 13, Us Weekly said

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, Massey said, “Overnight it was trending on Twitter that I am dying of cancer.
I want to say first, ‘I do not have cancer,’ and I don’t know where this inconsiderate and insensitive rumor originated from.”
Massey, former child star of "That’s So Raven," told ET that it was particularly hurtful because he’s lost family members to cancer.
“Making light of any illnesses that a person has no control over getting is not something to joke about or make light of!” Massey wrote ET. “My team and I are making every attempt to find out the original source of this story because it’s just not cool.”
Massey told the online entertainment magazine that he’d lost two uncles and a friend to cancer, and also that his grandfather currently has prostate cancer.
On Monday, some Twitter users continued to post that Massey had cancer, though most people were reporting that it wasn’t true after all. There were some harsh (and unprintable) words for people who start rumors like that. Wrote Brandon Mychal Smith:
