Kristen Wiig sported a new bob haircut this week at the Los Angeles premiere of her television mini-series, “The Spoils of Babylon.”

The Tuesday night event wasn’t the first time the actress and former “Saturday Night Live” star was seen with her new mahogany colored locks; that occurred on Dec. 19 when she appeared on "The Late Show With David Letterman," Us Weekly noted. But this was the first official carpet appearance with the new, more refined do.

People magazine notes that Wiig has been known for trying out different styles, appearing as a blonde and brunette with wavy and straight hair.

“We love the star’s naturally loose curls, but her new carefully coiffed look really shows off the rich auburn hue she’s wearing these days, as well as her pretty eyes and delicate cheekbones,” People wrote.

Others are enamored, too. “Cut right at the chin, the style is perfect for her — adding shape to her long oval face. And the blunt cut (it looks to be one length all around) is chic without being too trendy,” wrote Daily Makeover.

Wiig is the latest celebrity to go with a bob cut. Former “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston, who started a craze with her “Rachel” cut in the 1990s, chopped off 6 inches of her locks late last years.

“It’s fun to change it up once in a while,” she told Vogue at the time.
