Jimmy Kimmel fooled clueless pedestrians into thinking Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner had been named Time magazine's "Person of the Year" Wednesday, the same day the honor was actually bestowed on Pope Francis
"There are always people who don't keep up on current events, so I thought it would be fun to send our camera out on Hollywood Boulevard today to find out what people think about Time's 'Person of the Year,'" the late-night host said Wednesday on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" "We did not tell them the 'Person of the Year' was the Pope. In fact, we told them it was other people."
Those "other people" were Jenner; Toronto's crack-smoking mayor Rob Ford; "Mama" June Shannon from "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo"; Ylvis, the singing duo responsible for "What Does the Fox Say?"; Prince George, the royal baby; and disgraced one-time New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner.

Kimmel staffers presented passers-by with a fake Time cover with the honoree's image.
Here's what people had to say about Jenner:
"I think Kris is an amazing businesswoman with a really good head on her shoulders … [It's] well-deserved," one person said.
"She has hustled her way this year," another gushed. "She is a household name. Everybody knows her. She has just been on everything and everywhere, so I think 'Person of the Year' would be a good accolade for her."
"I think he's kind of a ridiculous, funny character. I don't think he should be Person of the Year for what he has done."
On Mama June:
"I think that's kinda cool… I think she real fascinating."
"I think it's a great choice. Those are two great guys."
On Prince George:
"I don’t think that's a very appropriate [choice] since he embarrassed his wife and the whole country."
