Kim Basinger returned to the silver screen and modeling at 60 this week, signing a deal with IMG Models and attending the premiere of "Grudge Match," in which she co-stars with Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro.

IMG Models is the same agency her 16-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin signed with in March, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"We are proud to be working with a distinguished and talented actress such as Kim Basinger," said Ivan Bart, IMG Models senior vice president and managing director. "Kim has a powerful appeal on screen that will lend itself as a strong asset for us to seek innovative partnerships across the modeling and entertainment platform for Kim."

Variety's Wendy Friedlander said Basinger's deal
signifies that the public's perception of beauty is changing.

"The perception of who is an acceptable spokesperson is changing; Basinger, who is 60, can help challenge the stigma that only youth works for sponsorships," Friedlander wrote. "Recent months have seen partnerships like Jerry Seinfeld, 59, for Acura, Michael Bolton, 60, for Honda, and Helen Mirren, 68, for British retailer Marks and Spencer."

Basinger appeared at the New York premiere of "Grudge Match" in a menswear-inspired pinstripe Ralph Lauren Collection three-piece suit. Basinger plays Sally in the movie about two aging boxers who take to the ring to settle a fight from 30 years ago.

She won the Oscar for best supporting Actress in the hit movie "L.A. Confidential" in 1998, playing alongside Russell Crowe, Kevin Spacey and Guy Pearce.

Despite Basinger's tumultuous relationship with ex-husband and fellow actor Alec Baldwin, he was complimentary of her in a June interview.

"(She is) one of the most beautiful women that (has) ever lived," Baldwin told THR. The couple divorced in 2002. "Even divorce doesn't muddy my view of that."

WME and its stakeholder Silver Lake Partners agreed to purchase IMG Worldwide. WME is run by Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell.
