Recording star Kellie Pickler says her fourth album, “The Woman I Am,” which dropped Monday, is her most personal one to date.

One track even advises a good friend who is dealing with a divorce, said the “Dancing with the Stars” champ and “American Idol” alum. Pickler said the friend called and asked her what she should do with the wedding ring.

“Ring for Sale” included these lyrics and Pickler’s answer: "Well I found out he been running around with a low class Jezebel / Now he’s got a monthly payment and I got a ring for sale,” she sings.

“A girlfriend from home is going through this as we speak," Pickler told The Hollywood Reporter. “I said, ‘Sell it and go do something nice for yourself; I think you have earned that right considering what he has done,” she said.

“And when I sing it, I am going to be thinking of her, even though it’s written in first person."

Another song, “Selma Drye” is about her grandmother.

"I was just describing her," Pickler told Billboard. "She lived in front of us, and she was a pistol – your stereotypical hillbilly granny. I was so intrigued by her. She had a pistol and an apron, and kept a can of snuff in her apron.”

She co-wrote several of the songs with her husband, Nashville songwriter Kyle Jacobs, “which which was really neat to be able to collaborate together,” she told E! News.

Pickler told the Hollywood Reporter she hopes listeners find “at least one song off this album that they identify with and hope it speaks to them.” After all, "we all come from somewhere, we just don’t get to choose that place that we come from,” she adds. “We get to choose what we do today."

While excited about her album, she also took time to acknowledge the men and women who have served in the military, tweeting:
