"Katie Holmes blindsided Tom Cruise when she filed for divorce just over a year ago. Now, the ex-'Dawson's Creek' star could be set to stun him once again by hooking up with his former best friend, Jamie Foxx," RadarOnline reported Wednesday, with the suggestive headline, "New Couple Alert?

"Though so far no signs of a full-blown romance have been uncovered, the pair did not hide their affection while dancing together at the Apollo in the Hamptons benefit in East Hampton, New York on Saturday," the gossip website added, displaying a photo of the pair locking arms.

Holmes, the New York Post reported Tuesday. looked "relaxed and happy. ... Holmes, who wore a black cocktail dress and attended the party at Perelman’s famous Hamptons estate, The Creeks, with two female friends, was later heard saying, 'I haven’t had such a good time in so long.'"

Other celebrity gossip websites threw cold water on the Holmes-Foxx reports. Holmes’ rep told the Gossip Cop the coupling report is "ridiculous," stressing that the actress and Foxx have been "friends for a very long time."

"The real deal is that RadarOnline took some photos of the two pals at the Apollo event in the Hamptons and fashioned a bogus 'new couple' post around those pics," the website wrote on Wednesday.

The star-studded event raised more than $3 million for cultural and educational programs at Harlem’s iconic Apollo Theater. Performers included Lenny Kravitz, Jon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, and Darlene Love.

A number of celebrities attended the event, including Bill O'Reilly, Eric Cantor, Colin Powell, Penny Marshall, Anjelica Huston, Billy Joel, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Howard Stern, Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie, according to the New York Post.
