"Big Bang Theory's" Kaley Cuoco was named to the galaxy of celebrity judges for the upcoming season of "Project Runway."

Kaley Cuoco will be a "Project Runway" guest judge, reported Entertainment Weekly, along with Kate Bosworth, Kelly Osbourne, Sigourney Weaver, Stacy Keibler, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

"Project Runway," which is entering its 12th season, returns regular judges Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Zac Posen, along with popular mentor Tim Gunn, noted Entertainment Weekly..

It's been a banner several weeks for Cuoco, who last month captured a best supporting actress in a television series award during the Critics' Choice Awards. It was the first time she was nominated for the awards as well.

Then she became a tabloid sensation for dating current "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill.

"They were both single and started dating recently," reported People magazine, quoting a source close to Cuoco and Cavill online Monday. People said Cavill had recently gone his separate ways with "Fast & Furious 6" Gina Carano. "It's just the beginning stages of a relationship and they're having a great time."

IGN.com reported that "Man of Steel" surpassed the $500 million mark at the box office on June 30, $248.7 million domestically. Plans for a sequel have been fast tracked, according to Screenrant.com.

Some on Twitter expressed excitement about Cuoco's upcoming "Project Runway" appearance.

"'Project Runway' season 12: Kaley Cuoco to appear. favorite sitcom + favorite reality = gonna be gorgeous," tweeted one commenter.

A few were not as enthusiastic, with one commenter tweeting: "She's making good use of her 15 minutes ..."

Before her role in the "Big Bang Theory," she played one of the late John Ritter's teenage daughters in "8 Simple Rules," which ran from 2002-05, according to TV Guide.com. Before that series, she had earned success as a child model and actor, appearing in numerous commercials. She also appeared in the final season of "Charmed," according to TV Guide.com.

In 2007 she joined the cast of "The Big Bang Theory," which has been nominated for a Golden Globe for best television comedy series or musical in 2011 and 2013, according to IMDb.com.
