Julia Roberts is People magazine’s 2017 World’s Most Beautiful Woman, which comes 26 years after she first appeared on the cover of the magazine’s World’s Most Beautiful issue.
And it's the fifth time she has been named the Most Beautiful Woman in the World, said People.
“I am very flattered,” Roberts told People’s editor-in-chief Jess Cagle.
In an interview with Cagle, the 49-year-old actress talked about her marriage, her three children, and how she’s been able to maintain her beauty over the years.
“I think I’m currently peaking,” she said about her beauty.
Roberts came to fame at the age of 23 after she starred in “Pretty Woman” with Richard Gere, which came just before her first appearance on the cover of the World’s Most Beautiful issue in 1991, noted People.
Roberts originally broke the record for appearances in the magazine issue back in 2010, when she became the first to grace this cover for the fourth time.
Roberts most recently appeared in the film “Smurfs: The Lost Village” as well as in “Money Monster.”
“She’s been famous a very, very long time, and she’s very, very popular,” Cagle said on “Good Morning America.” “She’s also a person who just keeps getting better as she matures.”
“She’s better looking now than she ever has been,” he added. “She looks great, but she also just gets better in life…She’s carved out this really simple, perfect private life away for herself and the spotlight. That’s difficult to do when you’re Julia Roberts.”
