Jessica Simpson's wedding to former NFL star Eric Johnson is still a more than a month away but the former teen singer turned fashion mogul told the "Today" show
that her wedding plans will be "extravagant."
Simpson dished a little on the wedding and why she believes she has been so successful in the fashion world to "Today" host Savannah Guthrie, saying doing things big is just her style.
"(The wedding will) definitely be extravagant," Simpson said on the "Today" show. "I don't do things small."

Simpson, 33, announced earlier this month that she plans to marry Johnson, 34, former tight end for the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints, over the July 4 weekend, according to Us Weekly. The couple, which has dated since 2010, has a girl, Maxwell, 2, and a son, Ace, 10-months, together, reported Us Weekly
"We are very close to sending out our invites," Simpson told USA Today at the White House Correspondents' Dinner earlier this month. "I've been very picky on how I want everything to look and feel. Eric's family alone is almost 90 people, so it'll definitely be a big event."
Simpson told "Good Morning America"
in January that she and Johnson "need to get married," since having two children together.
"I already feel like we're like an old married couple already," Simpson said on the morning show. "If he wanted to run, he could have run when I was hormonal and pregnant."
The upcoming wedding has been motivation for Simpson's weight loss after the two children. The Weight Watchers spokeswoman told "Today" that her weight struggles have actually benefited her in designing clothes.
"Well, I think that I can relate to every woman out there," Simpson told "Today." "I have been every size there is, so I know how to dress every body type. I truly believe that it's not just about high fashion. You know, we all need pieces in our wardrobe that are fashionable but accessible, wearable, you know, and affordable. I think that that's really what has made the brand such a success."
Simpson said she is planning on building a recording studio in her home in hopes to restarting her singing career.
