Jennifer Lopez Barbie Is Missing JLo's Signature Curves

Mattel has released two collectable Jennifer Lopez Barbies, but many have noticed that the dolls lack the Latina superstar’s famous curves.

One thin doll is dressed in a mini-version of the sultry gown Lopez wore to the 2012 Oscars and the second wears a bedazzled bodysuit that Lopez wore during her “Dance Again” world tour.

Neither has her legendary derriere or curvy hips.

But Lopez, who worked closely on the design of the dolls, is a fan, Yahoo Shine reports.

She even released a funny video of a doll performing on her Instagram account earlier this week. (http://instagram.com/p/gTNLCLmuIj/)

“I wanted to live in Barbie’s world. I wanted to be Barbie,” Lopez said of her childhood love for the dolls in a video for Entertainment Tonight. “It really does make sense why I was so in love with it, I kind of turned my own life into Barbie’s life.

“When you’re growing up in the Bronx, it’s very limited at first. I think Barbie represents infinite possibilities. The dream is still alive. You never get too far away from that little girl, or you shouldn’t.”

Some Lopez admirers took to Twitter to say the dolls are anything but bootylicious.

The dolls were created with a “specialty sculpt that has more enhanced curves," Robert Best, Barbie director of design told Yahoo Shine. The brand worked closely with Lopez and she "is pleased with the collaboration and a fan of the dolls," he said.

Lopez was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
