Jennifer Aniston's relationship with fiancé Justin Theroux is reportedly at an "impasse" after their wedding plans were placed on hold, a source told RadarOnline.com
The notorious celebrity gossip magazine claims that the two are "barely communicating" as they live life on separate coasts. Aniston is in California while Theroux is in New York City working on the new HBO show, "The Leftovers."
"The relationship is definitely at an impasse," the insider said. "Either it's going to fizzle out, which seems likely, or they get married. Jen is extremely insecure and very needy . . . Justin is the opposite, very laid back and low maintenance."

Aniston and Theroux, who have been engaged since August 2012, even spent the former "Friends" star's 45th birthday apart last week.
"Justin asked Jen to come to New York City but she declined, citing the cold weather. She wanted to be in sunny Southern California with her friends," the source told RadarOnline.com. "It's absolutely indicative of the status of Jen and Justin’s relationship. There is absolutely no wedding talk or planning going on. Publicly the couple is saying it’s because they are just too busy with work, but if they wanted to get married, it would happen."
Aniston's notable absence from Philip Seymour Hoffman's funeral earlier this month is another indicator that her relationship with Theroux is on the rocks, the source said. Hoffman, who died three weeks ago of an apparent heroin overdose
, was a friend to both Aniston and her fiancé. Theroux attended the services and also made a visit to Hoffman's family.
"The fact that Jen didn’t go to New York for Philip Seymour Hoffman’s funeral and to comfort Justin is another sign that their relationship is in trouble. Remember, Jen and Philip were in the movie 'Along Came Polly' together in 2004, and they were friends," the source said. "Her camp said Jen couldn't go because of ongoing talks for her to be in an upcoming independent movie . . . Jen’s agent was brokering the deal, she wasn’t required to stay in Los Angeles."
