A spectacular dunk by 6-foot, 7-inch forward Javonte Douglas from the College of Central Florida is going viral, thanks to a video of the hoopster handily grabbing a missed shot — that was still some 12 feet in the air — and slamming it through the net while posterizing a pair of defenders.

College of Central Florida was playing Pasco-Hernando Community College on Saturday when Douglas crashed the offensive boards to secure a miss shot by Chris Bryant.
“It probably falls into the category of a you-need-to-see-it-to-believe-it moment, but even some of the fans seemed to be in utter disbelief as the processed what they’d seen for a good moment before rising to their feet,” noted Yahoo Sports
. “Not a bad way for the Patriots to open the regular season at home.”
Despite the acrobatics, the shot was still only worth two points.
The slam may have even topped what many concluded was the top dunk of 2013, a monster slam by Clippers center DeAndre Jordan over a hapless Brandon Knight of the Detroit Piston during a game at the Staples Center in March.
Knight, the Washington Post said at the time, “became roadkill
on the superhighway to Dunkville."
