Hollywood conservative James Woods has sparked a Twitter firestorm after he bashed President Barack Obama on the social networking site earlier this week, and now other celebrities are speaking out against him.
Frustrated that the government shutdown prevented World War II veterans from visiting their Memorial
but allowed "illegal aliens" to rally on the National Mall this week, Woods blamed Obama, calling the president an "abomination."
Woods, the 66-year-old television, stage, and film actor best known for his roles in "Casino," "Once Upon a Time in America," and "Nixon," is an outspoken conservative who often voices his opinion on Twitter so as to, in his own words, "avoid mainstream media editorializing."

But his anti-Obama Twitter outburst angered some liberal celebrities, like Canadian comedienne and actress Caroline Rhea, who unleashed a combative tweet of her own Thursday.
"James Woods is an abomination and at least Obama has never been in a bad movie #ScaryMovie2," Rhea posted.
Woods quickly responded, first with a zinger of his own, and then with what seemed to be pity.
Rhea later deleted her original tweet.
