A Jackie Chan death hoax made its way around the Internet this week, but the action star took to his Facebook page to deny that he died, holding up a photo of the day’s newspaper to prove his point.

His Friday Facebook post read: “Hi everybody! Yesterday, I got on a 3am flight from India to Beijing. I didn’t get a chance to sleep and even had to clean my house when I got home. Today, everybody called to congratulate me on my rumored engagement. Afterward, everybody called me to see if I was alive. If I died, I would probably tell the world! I took a photo with today’s date, just in case you don’t believe me! However, thank you all for your concern. Kiss kiss and love you all! P.S. My dog is healthy, just like me! He doesn’t need surgery! By the way, my dogs are golden retrievers, not Labradors.”

Online reports indicated Chan died in a car accident in Austria or maybe Australia. They were quickly debunked by fans online.

Celebrity death hoaxes happen often on the web. Another death hoax for Chan occurred in March 2011, saying he died of heart issues. At some point, Bill Cosby, Owen Wilson, Usher and Adam Chandler were all rumored to have died.

Not only is Chan very much alive and healthy, but he’s is working on two new movies, “Skiptrace” and “The Expendables 3.”
