An Iowa couple who won a $202 million Powerball Jackpot is giving their school district a very expensive, non-returnable gift this holiday season.

Brian and Mary Lohse of Des Moines surprised the Bondurant-Farrar school district with a brand new football stadium that has a $3 million price tag. The couple requested the stadium be finished by fall 2014, before their football star son graduates, according to the Des Moines Register.

There’s one catch: The visiting team’s locker room must be painted pink, at Mary Lohse’s request.

“I was sort of half joking and half not I suppose, but they said they’d do it,” she told the Register. “It’s supposed to put them in a certain soft frame of mind … it will certainly give all the players something to talk about.”

The idea was inspired by the University of Iowa, where the visiting locker rooms are pink.

The school board accepted the donation on Monday night. Planning has begun with administrators and architects.

The Lohse family also requested the stadium not be named after them.

“The school has been kind of a bedrock for our community and we appreciate all that it’s meant to our kids,” Brian Lohse said. “We’d like to look out for the school a little bit and hasten a project that’s already on the horizon.”

A new stadium was already in the works, according to the New England Sports Network, but the donation will accelerate the project. Construction will start soon.

School Board President Kristin Swift expressed gratitude for the gift.

“It not only gives us the opportunity to accelerate the stadium project, but to advance other plans for projects within the district as well,” Swift said. “We’re very excited about this opportunity.”
