The teen who stole celebrity chef Guy Fieri's yellow Lamborghini and later tried to kill a young couple was sentenced to life in prison this week.
Max Wade, 19, reportedly stole Fieri's car out of a San Francisco dealer in March 2011 to try and impress a girl, Eva Dedier. A year later, prosecutors say he drove a motorcycle up alongside Dedier and her new boyfriend as they sat in a truck and opened fire on the couple, apparently out of anger over being spurned.
Wade was charged with car theft and attempted murder after police traced his motorcycle helmet back to a storage facility in Richmond where they found the Lamborghini, the motorcycle, and the gun allegedly used in the shooting, according to KTVU.com

On Thursday, a judge sentenced Wade to more than 21 years to life in prison.
"Under the sentence, Wade could theoretically be released before he turns 40," the Marin Independent Journal reported
. "First, he will have to serve 85 percent of a sentence of 21 years and four months, then begin serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole."
He will likely be credited for the two years of time he's already served, the California newspaper noted.
Fieri, a Food Network personality best known for his show "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives," testified against Wade in October.
"It's been a really crazy story," Fieri told reporters after his court appearance. "You never think a car like that is going to get taken from the dealership. I figured when we sent it down to them to get a warranty job that it would come back."
