Fox News talk show host Greta Van Susteren has taken exception to how fellow Fox News contributor Erick Erickson, editor of RedState.com
, has commented on Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis.
Van Susteren was set off by several tweets from Erickson referring to Davis, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate, as "Abortion Barbie." Davis earned notoriety for filibustering an abortion bill in Texas last summer, forcing the Texas legislature into an additional session to get it passed.

Van Susteren responded to Erickson's reference to Davis on her Fox News blog.
"This posting is not about Wendy Davis. It is not about her views. This is about a man who has [a] pattern of being disrespectful to women," Van Susteren said about Erickson. "There are the creeps who take cheap shots because they are too ignorant and small to engage in an important discussion. The best they can do is make themselves look really bad. No one should pay any attention to them — they are not persuasive, they are noise, and in some instances boorish and obnoxious.
"I don't care how much you disagree or agree with Texas' Wendy Davis, you have to agree that this guy, Erick Erickson, is a real jerk and is really lousy at being a spokesperson for his views," Van Susteren continued.
Politico reported that Erickson has been a critic of Davis
since her successful filibuster in 2013. He previously tweeted that Davis can't handle the truth and "is so cute when she's lying."
Erickson in response late Monday thanked Van Susteren in a blog post,
stating that the exposure is bringing more attention to Davis and her flaws, which was what he wanted all along.
"In Greta’s diatribe against me, she only used the word 'Abortion' once and that was noting me calling Wendy Davis 'Abortion Barbie,'" Erickson wrote. "In fact, I appreciate Greta focusing on my tweets and find it instructive she chose specifically to not make it about Wendy Davis. Wendy Davis is a one issue wonder heralded by the press because she is a high priestess of the secular religion’s sacred sacrament — slaughtering children on the altar of Moloch."
