, giving classic car buffs a chance to own a piece of Hollywood memorabilia.

"The new owner got a guy to restore it exactly as it was in the movie," Paul said.
The hardtop-turned-convertible was found last year outside of a Paramount Studios lot, and Paul was able to identify it by some unique workmanship. Paul said he made two versions of the car and used hardtops because “I didn’t want to ruin up a real convertible.” The car was restored by Dan Condon of Palm Desert before being put up for auction, according to the eBay Motors Blog.
In the movie, the Hell Chariot was defeated in on off-road race by Danny Zuko, played by John Travolta.
According to the eBay description, the restoration includes the recreation of the razor hubcaps along with the front bumper that was bent from rear-ending the opponent car.
Another car used in the filming of the “Greased Lightning” scene was purchased by Volo Auto Museum in 2011. The restored Greased Lightning is on display at the Illinois museum.
