"The Bachelor" contestant Gia Allemand was hospitalized Monday night in New Orleans after suffering an unspecified medical emergency that left her on life support. Allemand appeared on the ABC reality series in 2010.

"Gia Allemand was taken to University Hospital, New Orleans [Monday] night following a serious emergency medical event, the details of which are currently not known. She is listed in critical condition," a statement from the 29-year-old model's publicist read. "Ms. Allemand's mother is with her, along with her long-term boyfriend. On behalf of the family, we kindly ask for privacy at this time."

Allemand is currently dating NBA basketball player Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans.
