George Zimmerman has been arrested in Florida at his girlfriend’s home in connection with a disturbance that could be domestic violence, WESH TV reported
A statement from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office didn’t specify domestic violence, but briefly said Zimmerman, 30, was arrested in connection with a disturbance and more information would be forthcoming, the Orlando Sentinel said

WESH said Zimmerman was arrested in Apopka, Fla., at his girlfriend’s house. The TV station talked to neighbors, who said Zimmerman’s truck had been in the area for about a month and “they thought the man might have been an undercover cop because he walked around like an officer.”
A reporter from WFTV tweeted the information that Zimmerman may have had a gun:
As news of Zimmerman’s arrest traveled online, more media began weighing in on today’s arrest, including TMZ, which quoted an unnamed source that says the girlfriend is pregnant
. If that is the case, TMZ said, then a domestic violence charge would be a felony.
The sheriff’s office will release the 911 call and other information about the arrest later today, WESH said.
In the early afternoon, Zimmerman’s mug shot appeared on the John E. Polk Correctional Facility site
but no charges were listed.
Zimmerman has had other trouble with police since he was found not guilty of killing teen Trayvon Martin earlier this year, spiking nationwide outrage. He was taken in by police after his wife, Shellie Zimmerman, and her father said he threatened them, the Sentinel said, although the case was later closed because of lack of evidence. The couple was in the midst of a divorce.
