Floyd Mayweather Jr. is leaving the fate of his next fight in the hands of his fans.
The five-division undefeated world champion boxer is allowing his followers to choose his next opponent. Fans can vote online and select either Britain's Amir Khan or Marcos Maidana of Argentina to face off against 36-year-old Mayweather on May 3 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Known for his outlandish behavior, Mayweather last made headlines in September when he publicly made fun of Oscar De La Hoya entering rehab. After Mayweather won his highly anticipated bout against Mexican fighter Canelo Alvarez, a meme surfaced on the boxer's Instagram that showed a photo of a distraught-looking De La Hoya.

Mayweather later apologized for the photo and claimed he did not post it.
"It's unfortunate that a stupid picture was posted to my Instagram account earlier today that was not posted by me or authorized by me to post," he wrote in a statement. "As I clearly stated during my fight week and again in the post-fight press conference, I completely support Oscar De La Hoya and his family during this difficult time in his life. I stand by him unconditionally and would never personally disrespect him or anyone else who struggles with addiction."
