Charity Pierce, dubbed the world's fattest housebound woman at 765 pounds, is on a diet with the goal of losing 300 pounds so she can have gastric bypass surgery.

Pierce, 38, who lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, said her motivation is getting married to her fiancé Tony Saur, 22, in public rather than at home. She began a diet that drastically reduces her daily calorie consumption from 10,000 to 1,200 calories.

"I'm determined not to have to get married at home," Pierce said to London's Metro. "I want to be able to walk up the aisle. We both love country music so I plan to wear a wedding dress, cowboy boots and cowgirl hat and Tony will be in jeans and cowboy boots."

Pierce's new diet consists of three yogurts, a banana with peanut butter, mixed vegetables, grilled chicken and vegetable pizza — a stark contrast to her old routine of eating two pizzas, five doughnuts, two plates of lasagna, a bowl of popcorn and Pop Tarts, just to name a few foods.

Saur told Metro that his main concern is his fiancé's health.

"Charity's size has never been an issue for me," he said. "I think she will be a beautiful bride. I do worry that she is going to die early but I try to support her to lose weight. I feel confident she will lose weight and have the operation."

The Huffington Post reported in 2011 that Pauline Potter, of Sacramento, Calif., held the title of world's heaviest woman at 643 pounds, which landed her a spot in the 2012 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.

"I did a lot of thinking about this," Potter told the Huffington Post at the time, "I called Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Oprah — and no one would help. I didn't want to call Guinness, but I thought this was the only way to get my story out so I could get help."

Pierce doesn't want that title, which is why she's determined to shed the weight.

"Seeing that figure appear on the scales was such a shock," Pierce told Metro. "I didn't expect that. It was devastating."
