Award-winning movie maker Woody Allen fired back at sexual and child abuse allegations Sunday by stepdaughter Dylan Farrow in renewed criticism against him that started last month.
The New York Times noted that Allen
was first accused of abusing Farrow in 1993. While charges were never filed against him, it led the end of his relationship with his long-time girlfriend Mia Farrow.

In a gripping open letter in the New York Times Saturday, Dylan Farrow detailed her charges against Allen, saying she was sexually assaulted
at seven and repeatedly abused afterward.
"For as long as I could remember, my father had been doing things to me that I didn't like," read part of the Dylan Farrow's letter. "I didn't like how often he would take me away from my mom, siblings and friends to be alone with him. I didn't like it when he would stick his thumb in my mouth. I didn't like it when I had to get in bed with him under the sheets when he was in his underwear. I didn't like it when he would place his head in my naked lap and breathe in and breathe out. I would hide under beds or lock myself in the bathroom to avoid these encounters, but he always found me."
Through his publicist Leslee Dart, Allen denied the allegations and placed the blamed on her mother Mia Farrow, according to The Wrap.com.
"Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful. He will be responding very soon," Dart said. "In the meantime, it is essential that your coverage make the following facts clear: At the time, a thorough investigation was conducted by court appointed independent experts. The experts concluded there was no credible evidence of molestation; that Dylan Farrow had an inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality; and that Dylan Farrow had likely been coached by her mother Mia Farrow. No charges were ever filed."
Controversy surrounding the allegations surfaced again in January when Allen was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the Golden Globes.
