Obamacare will collapse, Newsmax contributor Dick Morris predicted in a video posted Thursday on his website, DickMorris.com
"The Obamacare program, which has been in effect now for five months, six months, is dying a death of a thousand cuts," President Bill Clinton's former political adviser said this week.

After listing a few of the most significant changes President Barack Obama has made to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act since it was implemented, Morris argued that such alterations were no more than a concession that Obamacare "is a terrible law and its not working."
Morris added that the frequent changes to Obamacare were nothing more than an attempt by the president to help his party maintain control of the Senate after the 2014 elections and retain the White House after the 2016 presidential election.
"In move after move after move, he's backpedaled and backpedaled and backpedaled. ... The law is becoming a complete shadow of what it once was," Morris continued. "And it's very clear that when you look at this law in practice, it's such a turkey that it's undermining Obama's political fortune."
Rather than focus on Obamacare's goal of insuring the uninsured, Morris said the focus should be the law's practical functionality, and whether it can stand the test of time.
"It's pretty clear when you look at the premium levels, the number of people who are looking to sign up for it, the deductible levels ... the number of doctors that are willing to sign up for it, the quality of those doctors and of the hospitals it is clear that this program just doesn’t work," Morris concluded.
"It's a catastrophe, and it's taking Obama and the Democratic Party down with it," the veteran political consultant added. "And the surest sign that this is happening is the step by step retreat of this president from his signature program. ... This is his achievement and yet he's running screaming from it as fast as he can."
Obamacare's collapse has been theorized by many of the nation's leading conservative voices in recent months, including GOP Georgia Congressman Tom Price, who in December told Newsmax
that the Grand Old Party has a plan in place to deal with the fallout after the law collapses.
"The Affordable Care Act is going to collapse soon and real people are going to be hurt," said Price, a past chairman of the House Study Committee and himself a physician. "So we have to be ready with a positive solution. We have one in the Empowering Patients First Act."
Among other proposals, the Republican-crafted legislation advances Tort reform and allows patients to purchase their insurance across state lines to reduce healthcare system costs.
