DeMint: GOP Will Unite Around One Candidate

South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint said the Republican Party eventually will unite around one candidate as the election process unfolds.

“The further we get into this, the more worried Americans are getting,” DeMint said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “We really think we’re on the edge of a cliff. I think Republicans are going to be very united.”

He said the candidates are “all good men” but refuses to endorse any of them.

“I’m going to keep my focus on the Senate Conservatives Fund,” DeMint said. “The best thing I can do for the next president is help deliver a conservative Senate.”
