Dannielynn Birkhead, Anna Nicole Smith’s 7-year-old daughter, was out on the town in New York City Sunday to see a Broadway production with her father, Larry Birkhead.

Us Weekly reported Birkhead and Dannielynn were backstage at The Palace Theater after seeing "Annie."

Just the day before, the dad and daughter combo were at the Kentucky Derby, and the Daily Mail pointed out the resemblance between mom Smith, who died in 2007, and Dannielynn, something that’s becoming more apparent as the child ages.

She’s already following in her mother’s footsteps, and appeared in 2012 in an ad for Guess Kids.

Dannielynn has been raised in Kentucky out of the daily limelight created by paparazzi.

Even doing something attention-getting like the Guess ad, Larry Birkhead told "Today" in November, only lasted so long. “Fifteen minutes after she was done with the Guess photo, she was back on book reports,” he said.

Birkhead described the Kentucky lifestyle as laid back, telling "Today," “My family is there to support me and to help me with Dannielynn and so that's been a positive. I spend a lot of time with her every day. I'm being both parents, so I think that I just try to give her a good foundation and try to just be there for her at all times."

Smith, a Playboy playmate and model, had a tragic life story. She died from a drug overdose just months after losing her 20-year-old son, also to a drug overdose.

Birkhead told the Daily Mail that his job is to teach his daughter about life.

“I always try to teach Dannielynn about making decisions and how they always have consequences,” he told the Mail. “All I want is for Dannielynn to grow up happy and be her own person.”
