After 12 weeks of competition, hundreds of hours of rehearsals, and a two-part live finale, Amber Riley walked away with the Mirrorball Trophy as the newly crowned "Dancing With the Stars" champion Tuesday night.
Riley was neck and neck with fellow finalist Corbin Bleu all season, but the 27-year-old "Glee" star came out on top after delivering a perfect 30 on her final routine of the season — a quickstep/samba fusion dance.

"I did this competition because women of all sizes need to know they can do whatever they put their minds to," she said tearfully as host Tom Bergeron awarded her the Mirrorball Trophy.
Riley said she signed on to do the competitive dancing reality show for fun and never expected to take first place.
"At the beginning, I didn't think I was going to win," she told reporters. "When we first started, that wasn't the goal. It really wasn't. I was like, 'Okay, well, you know, it'll be great exercise — it's going to be fun. I'm going to learn dances because I love dancing and maybe I'll look like a dancer and experience something new.'"
Jack Osbourne joined Riley and Bleu in the finale, putting up a strong showing with his Paso doble/salsa fusion dance, but his score of 27 fell short.
"I love that Amber won," Osbourne said Tuesday night. "Amber every week has just lit up the ballroom, and I know she's clearly been as entertaining to people at home as it has been [sitting] here week after week watching her just slay it. I'm so happy she won."
Despite coming in second place, Bleu also praised Riley.
"I'm so happy for Amber," he said. "I'm so happy for them. I'm extremely proud. She's grown so much and she deserves it. She really, really does."
All of the celebrity competitors also returned for the finale, some performing reprises of their favorite dances from over the course of the season.
When asked what's next for Riley, she had this to say:
"Anything that scares me I want to do."
