Located in the exclusive Trousdale Estates section of Beverly Hills, the house contains five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a bi-level living room and a round swimming pool.
The eventual sale will dissolve the couple's shared property.
Cox and Arquette have a daughter, Coco, and have both publicly said they will remain friends.
They were married in June 1999, and the divorce was final in May of this year
Cox, 49, is best known for her role as Monica Gellar on the NBC sitcom "Friends," which ran for 10 seasons. She currently stars as Jules Cobb in the ABC show, "Cougar Town."
She met Arquette while filming the first "Scream" film. Arquette was her on-screen love interest, Dwight "Dewey" Riley.
