Copperfield told the publication that he and the 28-year-old French model-designer have been engaged for some time.
"I'm engaged and in a committed relationship with Chloe in my mind and my heart," Copperfield told Hello.
In addition to pulling off some breathtaking magical feats, Copperfield is also known for his taste in models, including a six-year relationship with Claudia Schiffer.
Gosselin and Copperfield met six years ago and have a 3-year-old daughter, Sky, together.
According to Hello, Copperfield has grossed more than $4 billion as a performer. Among his material possessions are 11 islands in the Caribbean archipelago known as Copperfield Bay, where the happy couple lives.
"Because of my work I have the privilege of living in extraordinary places around the world," he told Hello. "I wanted to recreate the details of those experiences here — from the water pressure in the shower to the thread count in the towels."
The Statue of Liberty's "disappearance" occurred on live television on April 8, 1973. In addition, Copperfield has also levitated over the Grand Canyon and walked through the Great Wall of China, though no date has been set as to when he will walk down the aisle.
Copperfield was born David Seth Kotkin, in Metuchen, N.J., and took his stage name from the Charles Dickens novel because he liked the way it sounded.
