Entertainment reporter Maria Menounos discussed her upcoming reality show "Chasing Maria Menounos" and what it's like being 35 and still living at home with her parents, plus her lover, in a recent interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
In the interview, which aired on Wednesday, the Massachusetts-born Menounos said her reason for never moving out was due to her closeness with her parents which she attributed to her family-oriented traditional Greek family.
In addition to her Greek immigrant parents Costas and Litsa Menounos, the former Miss Massachusetts Teen USA lives with her boyfriend of 15 years, Kevin Undergaro, her brother, and a family friend named Jo in their Los Angeles home, the Daily Mail reported

"I just love the idea that I am able to take these two villagers from Greece who had no running water, they didn't have shoes to go to school with and now they're going to be famous on TV," Menounos told Ellen, referring to her upcoming reality TV show "Chasing Maria Menounos," which premieres on the Oxygen channel on March 18.
A clip of the upcoming show reportedly reveals a close-knit family with apparent underlying strains, the Daily Mail noted.
"'Chasing Maria Menounos' is an emotional, comedic journey that will introduce viewers to a modern young woman who is at a crossroad in her life and trying to decide what’s next," Oxygen spokesperson Rod Aissa said in regards to the show. "Maria is ambitious, unconventional and incredibly funny, you just can't help but fall in love with her."
"One thing for sure is the clock is ticking and I have got to figure things out," Menounos adds referring to her living-at-home status.
In addition to her new show, Menounos is also publishing a health book in April titled, "The EveryGirl's Guide to Diet and Fitness: How I Lost 40 lbs and Kept It Off-And How You Can Too!"
According to Amazon.com, Menounos' book
is "simply the most complete, effective, and convenient manual for all the EveryGirls out there who lack the time, money, or willpower to change. It’s not merely a weight-loss book. It’s a guide to help you get fit, feel healthy, be productive."
