While the ice skating duo of Charlie White and Meryl Davis focus on a gold medal, it's White's off-the-ice relationship with former Olympic medalist Tanith Belbin that is making headlines.
White and Davis are the favorites to take the Sochi Olympics gold in the pair dancing competition. White and Davis, who train out of Canton, Mich., between Detroit and Ann Arbor, have been on an upward trajectory to win the top spot since finishing with a silver medal at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010.

The duo's often romantic performances have brought questions about their personal relationship when people are not questioning White's "hush-hush" relationship with Belbin, who is an analyst for NBC this Olympics, according to the Detroit Free Press.
"No, Canton-based ice dancing wizards Charlie White and Meryl Davis are not a couple, no matter how romantic their routines at the Sochi Olympics might look," wrote James Jahnke, of the Free Press.
Yahoo! Sports reported that White and Belbin
have tried to keep a lid on their romance since the Vancouver Olympics. While White and Davis earned a silver medal, Belbin and her partner Ben Agosto came in at fourth place. Belbin and Agosto won the silver medal in the 2006 Turin Olympics.
"Meryl and I have been skating together for 16 years," White told Yahoo! Sports. "We've known each other for our whole lives. It just feels really natural that that's how we sort of present ourselves to the world that cares about us as skaters."
According to Yahoo! Sports, while White acknowledged his relationship with Belbin, he felt it was important to keep a low profile for fans, and more importantly for judges.
"It actually still is," White told Yahoo! Sports when asked by his "secret" romance with Belbin. "So probably ... we don't really talk about it. As an ice dancer, we take our on-ice relationships so seriously, and that's really the way we like to go about it. (Davis and I) are just presenting ourselves as a team, and all the rest of that (with Belbin) can wait for later."
