Former NFL player and reality star Chad Johnson was ordered to jail
for 30 days for a probation violation after angering a judge when he playfully slapped his attorney on the butt at the end of a hearing.
The Associated Press reported that Johnson was in court in connection with a probation violation in a domestic violence case.

Johnson, formerly known as Ochocinco, reached a plea deal with Broward County Circuit Court Judge Kathleen McHugh. McHugh tacked on an additional three months to Johnson's probation because he failed to meet with his probation officer in the last three months.
When McHugh asked Johnson if he was satisfied with his attorney Adam Swickle, Johnson gave his lawyer a light swat on the rear, which is what football players do to each other on the field. The courtroom erupted in laughter.
But McHugh was not amused.
"I don't know that you're taking this whole thing seriously," McHugh said, announcing she changed her mind about the plea deal. "I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this? The whole courtroom was laughing. I'm not going to accept these plea negotiations. This isn't a joke."
His probation was extended to December 21, 2013
, and he has been ordered to complete an additional 25 hours of community service and extra therapy sessions, according to TMZ.com.
Johnson was jailed in May, after he was issued a warrant for not meeting with his probation officer. He was released on $1,000 bail.
Johnson, 35, is on probation after pleading no contest to head-butting his then-wife, TV reality star Evelyn Lozada, during an altercation last August. She quickly filed for divorce after barely a month of marriage. Johnson has not played in the NFL since the incident.
Johnson, whose best playing days were with the Cincinnati Bengals, caught 766 passes for more than 11,000 yards and 67 touchdowns during his career. In 2012, he reached the Super Bowl as a reserve wide receiver with the New England Patriots.
Lozada stars on VH-1's"Basketball Wives" TV show. She was previously engaged to ex-NBA star Antoine Walker, who played for the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics.
