In his first "Saturday Night Life" hosting gig in nearly 25 years, Bruce Willis played harmonica, reprised his "Armageddon" role, portrayed an aggressive Navy SEAL, and gave Miley Cyrus' twerking a run for its money.

Though 58-year-old Willis had no film or project to promote, he impressed with his up-for-anything attitude and hilarious characters.

In his opening monologue, Willis electrified with a harmonica performance, a callback to a similar routine he did when he hosted the show for the first time.

"The last time I hosted the show was back in 1989 and if you had told me back then that were going to be six 'Die Hards' I would have said 'that seems a little too many,'" Willis joked.

Willis was in on most of the night's sketches. In "Black Ops," a group of Navy SEALS was shown prepping for an upcoming mission and reviewing each member's assignment. Willis, whose task was to sit and wait in the van, envisioned a much more action-packed role involving kicking in doors and attacking people with the knife hidden in his boot.

He got some laughs as an astronaut in a skit that parodied his 1998 film "Armageddon," and in another as a barber whose awkward attempt at "shop talk" failed to impress his colleagues.

But perhaps the funniest clip of the night was "Boy Dance Party," where a group of guys is first shown sitting around watching football while their girlfriends and wives go out dancing. But when the women leave, the men break out their own dance party.

"In the older days, the ladies stayed at home and went to work. Now it's time for the ladies to get out so the boys can stay home and twerk," Moynihan sang.

Katy Perry was the musical guest for the episode, performing her hit single "Roar" and "Walking on Air," a new track off her upcoming album.
