Britney Spears Sued by Dancer Claiming Singer Broke Her Nose

Britney Spears has been hit with a lawsuit after one of her backup dancers went public with claims that the pop star broke her nose during a rehearsal last summer.

Dawn Noel, who was hired to appear in Spears' "Work B****" music video, filed suit Monday accusing the singer of being "disheveled and confused" during an August rehearsal, according to TMZ.

Noel says Spears was twirling around unbalanced when she backhanded the dancer in the nose, causing a nasal bone fracture that required surgery. The singer reportedly said, "I'm sorry," but didn't even stop the rehearsal, TMZ noted.

"Dawn says the impact was so forceful, everyone in the room heard a cracking sound," the gossip site reported. "Dawn says she was in excruciating pain . . . after a half hour she couldn't take the pain and went to a doctor, who told her she had a nasal bone fracture and needed surgery."

What's more, Spears' people reportedly promised to pay Noel's medical bills but never did. Now, the dancer wants her expenses covered.

So far, there's been no comment from Spears or her lawyers.

The "Baby One More Time" singer resumed her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood last week, kicking off the third leg of the two-year commitment.
