Danica Patrick and her NASCAR boyfriend Ricky Stenhouse Jr. were involved in a minor car wreck with another driver during the Coca-Cola 600 race in Concord, N.C., Sunday.
Midway through the race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, Stenhouse Jr. drifted into his girlfriend's No. 10 Chevy racecar, causing her to rear-end veteran driver Brad Keselowski. The collision destroyed Keselowski's car, forcing him to retire from the race early.
Patrick ultimately finished 29th and reportedly stomped off without speaking to reporters afterwards
, according to USA Today. Stenhouse Jr. finished 14th.
Though the wreck seemed to be Stenhouse Jr.'s fault, Keselowski took the blame.

"I just cut Danica off," he told reporters after the race. "I didn't know she was still down there and I caused a big wreck. I cut her off and wrecked her and myself. I feel bad for her and I send my apologies to her."
Patrick and Stenhouse Jr., often called NASCAR's first couple, made their debut together earlier this year after Patrick's divorce from husband Paul Hospenthal was finalized
"I am sad to inform my fans that after seven years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage," Patrick wrote in a Facebook post announcing her divorce. "This isn't easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this. He has been an important person and friend in my life and that's how we will remain moving forward."
Patrick is the first female NASCAR driver to win a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole, a feat she repeated at the Daytona 500 in 2013.

Among her numerous accolades for racing, the Beloit, Wis., native was named Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year and IndyCar Series season Rookie of the Year in 2005 and IndyCar Series Most Popular Driver from 2005 through 2010. In 2012, she was named NASCAR Nationwide Series Most Popular Driver.
Patrick is also a prominent spokeswoman for the Internet domain registration and web hosting company Godaddy.com.
