President Barack Obama’s moratorium on deepwater drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico may have ended last October, but Louisiana GOP Gov. Bobby Jindal is still upset about it, Politico reports.

“One of the side effects, one of the things we need to recover from is the administration imposed a one-size-fits-all moratorium after the spill,” he said in an appearance on NBC’s “Today Show” to mark the one-year anniversary of the BP oil spill. “We want drilling to be done safely, but we don’t want to lose thousands of jobs down here.”

Jindal also said he would sign the bill passed by the Louisiana House requiring presidential candidates to provide a copy of their birth certificate if the Senate passes it. But he stressed that he believes President Barack Obama is indeed a U.S. citizen.
