"Blake embodies all the modern codes of Hollywood glamour," Cyril Chapuy, brand global president of L'Oréal Paris, told Entertainment Tonight Wednesday. "She is flashing a substantial swath of upper elegance and sensuality. She has become a beauty icon for a whole generation with her gorgeous gold-dipped hair, luminous gaze and drop-dead smile."

Previous L'Oreal Paris faces include Lara Stone, Beyonce, Jane Fonda and Julianne Moore.

"I am thrilled and honored to join the incredible women who represent L’Oréal Paris," Lively said, according to Elle U.K. "From the versatile and motivational Brand Ambassadors, to all the women who proudly wear L'Oréal Paris each day.

"I grew up with the inspiration of their message, 'We’re worth it.' What an important value to instill in women. That beauty is rooted in confidence. That is key. That is why I'm so proud to be a L'Oréal Paris woman," she added to Elle.

Lively, 26, a former "Gossip Girl" star, has appeared in "Savages" in 2012, "Green Lantern" in 2011, "The Town" in 2010, and "Sisters of the Traveling Pants," and sequels in 2005 and 2008. She starred in "Gossip Girl" from 2007 to 2012.

It was on the set of the "Green Lantern" where she met her husband Ryan Reynolds. They were secretly married in September, 2012.

"We’d love to have a big family," Reynolds said of his marriage to Lively to the New York Daily News in July. "We both come from big families – my parents did four, Blake’s did five. A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think."
