An Oakland A's fan who couldn't be subdued by a half dozen police offciers and security personnel  was tasered Friday during Game 2 of the American League Division Series between the A's and Detroit Tigers.

A video taken by another fan showed the middle-aged man lunging after several police officers and security personnel who surrounded him and appeared to be attempting to remove him from the game.

At one point the fan pinned down one of the cops against a row of seats, while a dozen or so cops and security personnel grappled with him. At that point one of the police officers yelled, "Tase him! Tase him! Tase him!"

Seconds later the officers stepped away so he could be tasered in the lower back. He was put in handcuffs, and carted off to the howls and laughs of screaming fans, one of whom yells, "and now we're in Oakland folks!"

Though it was unclear what initiated the man's behavior, BleacherReport.com found tweets from a fan who claimed to be in close proximity to the unruly fan and attributed the ruckus to the man's wife, "banging on visitors pen dugout roof to beat of chant."

The wife does not appear during the two-minute clip uploaded to YouTube.

This isn't the first time a fan has been tased in recent years at a Major League Baseball game.

In May 2010, a 17-year-old Philadelphia Phillies fan was tasered after he rushed onto the outfield during the 8th inning. And in April of 2011, a Pittsburgh Pirates' fan was tasered by police after he had reportedly threatened PNC park officials and refused to leave.

Much like in the Oakland A's instance from Friday, the Pirate's fan was "using excessive foul language and disrupting other fans' enjoyment of the game," according to Director of Communications for the Pirates Brian Warecki, the Huffington Post reported.
