Supermodel Kate Upton has a new fan in golf legend Arnold Palmer, and sources say the two have a dinner date set for this week as a PGA Tour event named for him kicks off at Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando.

He won't be playing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational Tournament, which started Thursday, but the 83-year-old Palmer obviously looks forward to his meeting there with Upton, the 20-year-old cover model of Sports Illustrated fame.

"Did you see this?" Palmer said in an interview with The Associated Press for Golf.com, holding up the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue with Upton on the front. "She's coming here. Did you know that?"

He then glanced again at the cover, which features Upton clad only in an unzipped parka and bikini bottoms, before shuffling a stack of papers over the racy photo.

"I better cover this up," he said.

Upton grew up in Melbourne, Fla., to parents who were huge Palmer fans and her manager, Lisa Benson, arranged the meeting (Benson's father used to play golf with Palmer at Latrobe County Club).

The supermodel will be meeting Palmer at Bay Hill, and is also rumored to be taking part in an upcoming social media campaign for the popular "Arnold Palmer" drink.

Palmer's isn't the only date Upton is planning. Earlier this week, a Los Angeles high school student professed his love to Upton and invited her to his prom in a funny and endearing YouTube video.

"Great moments are born from great opportunity, and that's what you have here today a chance to make a nice guy's senior year, the best ever," Jake Davidson said in his video invitation. "We can ride around all night long — until 11, that's my curfew. But really, it would mean the world to me if you came."

Upton responded to the teen Tuesday on Twitter.
