Anna Benson, ex-reality show star and estranged wife of former New York Mets pitcher Kris Benson, remained in jail in Georgia following her arrest after allegedly confronting her husband with a gun and knife.

Anna Benson's arrest for confronting her ex-pitcher husband came, according to USA Today, after she allegedly showed up on Sunday at a home the couple once shared in Smyrna wearing a bulletproof vest and strapped with a handgun demanding $30,000.

Anna Benson, 37, remained in the Cobb County Jail without bond on charges of criminal trespassing, aggravated assault with a weapon and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit a felony.

TMZ reported that Kris Benson charged that Anna Benson showed up at the home unannounced and took out an "expandable metal baton" threatening to hit him. Then she allegedly ratcheted up the confrontation by pulling out a gun, according to TMZ. ()

Kris Benson, according to TMZ, told her he would give her the money but instead left the home contacted police who arrested her sitting on the back porch of the residence.

TMZ reported that Kris Benson filed for divorced last year.

Anna Benson, a former FHM magazine model and exotic dancer, has been married to Benson since 1999, USA Today said. Anna Benson appeared in the VH1 reality show "Baseball Wives" in 2011. The show was canceled by VH1 after one season.

In one of the show's episodes, TMZ reported that Anna Benson threatened one of the co-stars with a stun gun and dildo. TMZ said some of the cast members threatened to quit the show after the incident.

According to her "Baseball Wives" biography, Benson is described as a "straight shooter whose frank opinions on a variety of topics raise eyebrows and ire everywhere. A cross between Angelina Jolie and Bill O'Reilly, she has an unapologetic stance on everything from guns to furs."

She claimed in the VH1 bio that if her husband would ever cheat on her, she would "sleep with everyone on her hubby's team, from the owner down to the batboy."
