An Amish woman and her daughter were killed over the weekend when a truck slammed into their horse-drawn buggy in Pennsylvania, about 60 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.

Mary Byler, 34, of New Wilmington, Pa., and her 11-year-old daughter were pronounced dead on the scene Saturday afternoon after their buggy collided with a truck, NBC 10 Philadelphia reported.

William Byler, Mary Byler's 35-year-old husband, was injured in the wreck and airlifted to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio.
