Amazon Lovefilm struck a deal with CBS Studios International Monday, which will allow customers in the U.K. and Germany access to some of the U.S.'s best shows, like "Dexter," "Nurse Jackie," and "The Good Wife."

Lovefilm, which is essentially Europe's version of Netflix, will now have rights to stream CBS-owned shows like "Blue Bloods" and the original "Star Trek" series, as well as some Showtime favorites (Showtime is owned by CBS), led by the serial killer drama "Dexter," CNET reported.

"We're thrilled to announce this latest deal with CBS Studios Int., and bring another great selection of hit U.S. TV shows to our members," Lovefilm chief marketing offer Simon Morris said in a statement. "The quality, quantity, and diversity of what we can offer our members is absolutely fantastic which is why we're quickly becoming the first choice subscription service for TV fans."

The multi-year deal is part of Lovefilm's efforts to expand content, and the move aligns with CBS' plan to compete globally.

"We're excited to partner with Lovefilm and their terrific subscription service on an agreement that will bring their U.K. and German subscribers a range of CBS content that audiences around the world are very passionate about," Armando Nuñez, president and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group, said in a statement. "This is another example of the growing licensing opportunities available for CBS's world class content in a dynamic global marketplace."

The Lovefilm Instant service is available on various devices, including PCs, Macs, the Nintendo Wii and Wii U, Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3, Kindle Fire, and Apple iPad.
