Air Marshal Arrested for Taking Upskirt Voyeuristic Pics

An on-duty federal air marshal was arrested Thursday and accused of taking voyeuristic, up-the-skirt photographs of female passengers as they boarded a flight.

Adam Bartsch, 28, was removed from Southwest Airlines flight 3132 at Nashville International Airport after he was spotted snapping pictures, police announced. He was caught by a witness, who reportedly took Bartsch's phone and notified a Southwest flight attendant, according to the Huffington Post.

According to the police report, Bartsch admitted to taking 10 to 12 photos, and said he had done it previously. He was charged with disorderly conduct and held on $10,000 bail.

"TSA does not tolerate criminal behavior," the Transportation Security Administration said in a statement obtained by CNN. "The agency immediately removed this individual from his current duties and is in the process of suspending or terminating his employment."

Southwest spokesman Chris Mainz told CNN that the flight to Tampa, Fla., wasn't delayed by the arrest.

The TSA has long been involved with perceived inappropriate behavior. In 2011, a TSA screener wrote "Get your freak on girl," on an inspection slip placed in a female passenger's bag, reportedly because a sex toy was found in her luggage, the Washington Post reported.

In July, a report from the Government Accountability Office said that instances of misconduct from TSA employees rose 26 percent to 3,408 in 2012 from 2,691 in 2010. A little more than half of the 9,600 cases cited involved attendance or security violations.
