Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, turned 49 on Monday, an event that didn't go unnoticed online.

Since she's one of the #tcot, or "top conservatives on twitter," there wasn’t a better place to send her birthday wishes than the micro-blogging platform. Many took the opportunity to connect with the politician, who recently left Fox News.

Some sent Palin derisive remarks.

Many users pointed out that Palin antagonizes liberals.

One user shared her Halloween inspiration along with the birthday wishes.

Another tried to further her cause by soliciting for Palin's super PAC.

And one remarked on the government's holiday schedule.
