Michele Bachmann has been slipping in the polls for some time now, but her Republican presidential effort is getting some new help in the key early-voting state of South Carolina.
Wesley Donehue, a well-known Republican operative in the Palmetto State, is joining the Minnesota congresswoman’s campaign staff there.
Donehue will lead Bachmann’s state strategy and communications efforts, The State
newspaper said. An expert in new media, Donehue ran the state Senate’s Republican Caucus and has worked for U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint and the South Carolina Republican Party.
