Some will like it in 3D when never-before-seen pictures of iconic blond bombshell Marilyn Monroe are auctioned.
In fact, the 1952 photos of the 25-year-old Marilyn at a party for singer Ray Anthony could bring in up to $90,000, reports the Daily Mail.
Amateur photographer Lani Carlson took the pictures not only in color but also in 3D – revealed through a special viewer.
Marilyn can be seen in various shots in a bright pink cocktail dress exiting a helicopter with Ray Anthony, posing with fans, and standing in front of a large piece of sheet music.
“They are, simply put, quality images that have never been seen before of one of the world’s most recognizable and glamorous movie stars,” said Catherine Williamson, entertainment director at Bonhams auction.
“They were taken at an early stage of her career. She had appeared in a couple of films but it was before some of the bigger breakout movies that really made her name like ‘The Seven Year Itch.’”
The most special thing about the images is that they have retained their color and are in 3D, Williamson said.
“When viewed under the correct viewer you can see Marilyn in glorious three dimension.”
