Less than half of Republican voters are satisfied with their choices in the 2012 presidential field. Only 43 percent like the current field compared with the 68 percent approval rate of the field at this point in the 2008 election cycle, a new  Washington Post-ABC News poll showed.

poll, republicans, 2012, fieldIn an open-ended question that let respondents name candidates, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney led with 16 percent followed by “no one/not any of them” at 12 percent. No other candidate received double-digit support, the Post said.

The next three finishers were Donald Trump and former governors Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin. The Post noted that conditions were ripe for a late entry, such as Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels or New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
