After being criticized by Dick Cheney as a “mistake” for John McCain’s running mate four years ago, Sarah Palin received some Twitter support Sunday from an unexpected backer: Cheney’s daughter.
Liz Cheney, a political analyst and former State Department official, tweeted her support of the former Alaska governor and politely disagreed with her father, the former vice president. “Rarely do I disagree with best VP ever but @SarahPalinUSA more qualified than Obama and Biden combined. Huge respect 4 all she's done 4 GOP,” she wrote on Twitter,

Dick Cheney called McCain's choice of Palin "a mistake" — one that is important for Mitt Romney not to repeat.
"I like Gov. Palin,” Cheney said on ABC’s “This Week.” “I've met her. I know her. She's an attractive candidate. But based on her background, she'd only been governor for, what, two years? I don't think she passed that test ... of being ready to take over. And I think that was a mistake."
For his part, McCain defended his choice Monday morning on "Fox and Friends" saying he's "always glad to get comments four years later" and that he's "proud of the job she did" and "proud of the job she continues to do," according to CBS News.
"I respect the vice president. He and I had strong disagreements as to whether we should torture people or not," McCain said, according to CBS News.
